I received the USB-C Male to USB-A Female Adapters through the Amazon Vine review program. These are great little adapters measuring about 7 in Long.I tried these both for charging, and for data transfer. They worked well for me.What I really like about these compared to most other adapters is that these give you a bit of a cable length, which gives you some flexibility in routing out to the USB A cable you are going to plug in to this. These look very well made. The wire seems to be thicker and than many other competing cables. The cable is almost 5 mm in diameter, which give me confidence that these can live up to the 15 watts they're rated for charging, and the 5 GB per second data transfer. Each cable weighs about 16 g.My guess is the limitation using these will not be this adapter, but rather the device, and the USB A cable, that plugs in.
It works!! All is well that ends well
Solid quality USB3-USBC adapters. For those times when you need to plug in a USBA device into a USBC port or maybe a USBA device for OTG use on your phone. The casing is made of aluminum, full metal jacket all the way around.Cables plug in a little tight, and won't come lose unless you really yank on it.Data transfer was more or less the same either with the adapter or just straight cable.Using an external USB3.2 encloser with a Samsung EVO Pro Plus 990 SSD, both of my tests came out to around 900Mbps in both directions.Which is the max for that USB port.I also connected a regular USB stick to an iPhone 5 Pro through this adapter and was able to transfer photos.VERDICTI can't vouch for the value, but you do get 2 in a pack. And maybe better on sale. It's a good adapter to have since it's multi-use. Just nothing special.
