MightOX Wireless Speaker

This RBG party speaker is so much fun! First and foremost I am obsessed with the lights on it they’re so vibrant and fun and when all the lights are off and people are dancing away the lights set the perfect vibe. The speaker itself is quite big and it’s so fun and interactive it literally comes with a microphone, not wirelessly connects to it so you can live out your MC dreams! Such a great quality speaker the features are pretty limited and basic so it’s nothing to advance but it’s great for house parties! I really like the sound quality on this it’s not too loud or anything but it’s great for house parties and small events!

Admittedly I am confused by this speaker. When it was delivered, I picked up the box and thought, oh, I think we have an empty box situation here, but all my fears were replaced by questions when I pulled the unit from the package. The speaker is about the size and weight of a small portable cooler. It is very very light and the built box is pretty much similar to a cooler box as well. I almost expected to be able to open it and put a few beer in there. Alas, it is not a cooler/speaker, it is a speaker with an included mic.The speaker is very old school, there is not really a digital aspect to turning it on, tuning into an FM station or ever the volume, it is all clunky tape cassette feeling buttons and a turn dial for volume. There is a toggle switch for on/off.Be prepared when you toggle on, it comes on strong and loud. Bluetooth Mode! and the lights engage and you are ready to pair - that is really easy to do and it does work pretty well. The hard part is getting the volume to cooperative.Press the mode button and you will engage the FM Mode! Loud and the light disengage. Then you get to try and find a station when you don't have an antennae. I did manage to hit one station, but again, I couldn't really control the volume, everything is loud.I think it is cool and I will continue to play around with it. I love the idea of it for karaoke on the go, we live near a large park, it would be great as it is so light, to bring along for a picnic or an afternoon party on the lake.The lighting is meh, maybe it would be cooler outside at night?The sound quality is surprisingly good for a 20W and it does seem to handle the bass well. It wasn't too treble-y either. I think for an outdoor party or like i said a picnic, this could be a easy take along speaker.

When I selected this boombox, I had a specific use in mind, but that evaporated when it arrived because it is HUMONGOUS! But its size is a good thing, not a bad thing. Further, this is not just a speaker, but more of a combined amplifier and speaker. While it does have a battery, I suspect that to take full advantage of its capabilities one would probably be better to keep it plugged in (which can be via AC adapter as well as 9 Volt car terminals). It is very versatile in that it can play from many different sources including Bluetooth, TF card, USB and AUX. And it is LOUD, even to my declining ears. Its microphone is what distinguishes it from ordinary speakers but, in all honesty, I'm doubtful that I would ever have the occasion to use it. It has funky lights, but I think that they are more of a distraction than a feature - thankfully they are controlled by a separate switch so one need not futz around to turn off the lights when they mysteriously turn on. It even comes with a remote control, although, it is so small that it may well be the first thing that gets lost - it would be useful if there was some sort of pocket on the unit to hold the remote control. The instructions are pretty sparse and one has to search high and low to see that its Bluetooth name is "ThunderOX"
